Bears Breaking Boundaries Contest
The Bears Breaking Boundaries Contest is put on each year by Big Ideas @ Berkeley and the ASUC student government. The contest, open to all UC Berkeley students, gives the financial foundation to allow the winners to bring their innovative ideas to fruition.
CEND sponsors the “Neglected Diseases” leg of the competition, awarding $10,000 dollars in 2009. CEND received 16 proposals in 2009, from students all over campus, ranging from such diverse disciplines as Public Health, Bioengineering, and Neurobiology.
